Oman oil exports soar to reach 26.2 million barrels

MUSCAT: The total amount of the Sultanate of Oman’s oil exports until the end of January 2024 soar to about 26,201,300 barrels, calculating the average price of a barrel at $83.2, as oil exports constituted 83.9 per cent of the total oil production amounting to 31,236, 200 barrels.

Data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information indicated that total oil exports recorded an increase of 0.6 per cent compared to the end of January 2023, as total exports at that time reached 26,046,300 barrels, in parallel with a decrease in production by 5.4 per cent, as it recorded at that time 33,023,800 barrels.

The total production of crude oil decreased by 7.9 per cent by the end of January 2024 to reach 23,930,900 barrels, while the total production of oil condensates increased by 3.7 per cent, recording 7,305,200 barrels, while the average daily production of oil reached 1,007,600 barrels until end of January 2024.

China topped the countries importing oil from the Sultanate of Oman, with total exports amounting to 25,200,600 barrels, an increase of 16.5 per cent from the end of January 2023, followed by Japan with 1,600,000 barrels, a decrease of 21.1 per cent. — ONA
